deathbyromy has had a busy 2024, playing at numerous festivals across Europe and the U.S as well as touring with the likes of Set It Off. A later addition to the lineup at Austin City Limits, the LA native put on an exciting set on the third and final day of the festival when Chappell Roan was set to perform later on. Accompanied by guitarist Jayden Hammer and bassist Earth To Cheska, deathbyromy combined theatrics, passionate vocals and a strong stage presence that had many in the audience dancing and head-bobbing along to her brand of dark alternative rock songs. “I think the reason my music speaks to so many different people is because it’s very Unapologetic, it’s very honest, it’s very raw and I think because I’m willing to push a lot of boundaries in my creative space and in my world.” deathbyromy shared, “It inspires and encourages other people to push more boundaries they wouldn’t think of pushing in their own self-expression or in their own thoughts.” “Xxxhibitionist” is the latest single from deathbyromy that was released in September and is already following it up with “BITCHFAMOUS” on October 25th.
deathbyromy spoke with B-Sides host Pete Mar at Austin City Limits 2024 about performing at the festival, the bond between her and bandmates EarthToCheska and Jayden Hammer, their individual projects and more.
