Next weekend, August 9-11, San Francisco’s annual music festival Outside Lands returns to Golden Gate Park. Top headline acts span multiple genres featuring Sabrina Carpenter, The Killers, KAYTRANADA, Daniel Caesar, and Gryffin. Rocco – Friday, August 9th
After his breakout single “Spin You Round”, bedroom pop artist Rocco took the genre by storm with his debut EP Her Favorite Flowers (2023). His youthful, love songs supply his generation with a passionate outlook.
underscores – Friday, August 9th
Filipino-American artist April Harper entered the music industry through soundcloud before releasing her first project as underscores in 2017 with EP skin purifying treatment. Her debut album, fishmonger, combines pop punk with hyper-pop. underscores is perfect for fans of 100gecs and those looking for an energetic set.
Odie Leigh – Friday, August 9th
Singer Odie Leigh began writing and singing with a self-described ‘silly joke song’ on TikTok. Several years later, she’s released two EPs composed of vulnerable and angry folk music that truly reflect who Leigh is.
Mindchatter – Friday, August 9th
NYC-born singer-songwriter producer Mindchatter (Bryce Connolly) defies the rules of EDM with his unique sound and introspective lyrics. His sophomore album, Dream Soup (2022), gained recognition as one of the year’s game-changing EDM records.

Amyl and The Sniffers – Saturday, August 10th
Formed in Melbourne by Amy Taylor (vocals), Dec Martens (guitar), Gus Romer (bass), and Bryce Wilson (drums), the Sniffers created a new fast sound inspired by Australian rock, punk, and rap. On their sophomore album, Comfort To Me, the band perfectly developed their unique sound of hardcore and old school rock.
TSHA – Saturday, August 10th
London-based artist TSHA offers an emotional edge to the electronic pop genre with her own vibrant production skills. Over the years, she’s worked with Foals, Ellie Goulding, Lianne La Havas, Dipole, and J Balvin. Her debut album, Capricorn Sun, gained significant recognition inside and outside of the EDM world.
binki – Saturday, August 10th
binki (Baraka Ongeri) delivers short yet punctuated songs surrounding his insecurities, love, independence, and success. On his song “Clay Pigeon,” binki invites listeners into his world with bleak, mundane lyrics on life contrasted by a loud, punk-influence beat.
DARUMAS – Saturday, August 10th
Latin trio DARUMAS, consisting of Aldana (bass), Ceci (vocals, guitar), and Vedala (vocals), honor their different Latin background through a fresh take on funk, pop, and soul. Their fun discography catches attention with Vedala’s strong vocals and Aldana and Ceci’s electrifying rhythms.
Teddy Swims – Sunday, August 11th
R&B-country singer Teddy Swims (Jaten Dimsdale) rose to fame after the release of lead single “Lose Control” off of his third EP I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1) in 2023. On the record, he channels his vulnerability and journey of self-discovery which is perfect for those nostalgic for old-school soul.
Uncle Waffles – Sunday, August 11th
DJ-producer Uncle Waffles (Lungelihle Zwane)’s song “Tanzania” went viral for its steady rhythms, daring energy, and Afro-beats. The song was sampled by Beyoncé during the Renaissance World Tour. Uncle Waffles’ captivating energy and production is definitely worth watching.
Katie Pruitt – Sunday, August 11th
Singer-songwriter Katie Pruitt reflects on her Christian upbringing and queerness on her latest album Mantra (2024). With songs “All My Friends” and “Self Sabotage,” Pruitt’s eye-opening lyricism has captivated audiences of all varieties.
