Trousdale are releasing the deluxe version of their debut LP ‘Out of My Mind’ on July 12th that will feature an additional four tracks taken from Trousdale’s recent show in their hometown of Los Angeles, as well as two new takes on album standouts with artist features to be announced. The trio consisting of Quinn D’Andrea, Georgia Greene, and Lauren Jones, met while in college at USC and are named after the pedestrian roadway running through the campus. Music has run through the group’s families and ignited their own passions to also create. D’Andrea is trained in classical piano and leaned into her love of musical theater and a cappella. Jones was exposed to her dad’s acoustic guitar take on Beatles tunes and started doing the same with songs by Taylor Swift. Greene’s house was similarly steeped in music. Now ten years in on working on their craft, Trousdale has noted their growth ever since their college days, “I think we’ve grown so much as people and as writers since we met in college and I think a big part of our relationship and our connection was built on writing,” Greene shared, “it’s a relationship that continues to reshape and we can reimagine it and I think we always have an opportunity to learn more about each other and dive into different songs and styles that each of us gravitate towards.” The band is already working on new material for their next project amongst their live performance dates this summer.
Trousdale spoke with B-Sides host Pete Mar about performing at Bonnaroo 2024, how Nashville played an important role in writing their debut album and more.
