Milky Chance released their latest single, “Naked & Alive,” earlier this year and is filled with the band’s penchant for catchy melodies and distinct songwriting. The music follows up the recent release of a new version of “Living In A Haze” that features a collaboration with Canadian band The Beaches. The duo of Clemens Rehbein and Phillipp Dausch have maintained a successful career ever since they broke through with the release of “Stolen Dance” in 2013 and skyrocketed into the mainstream. Their latest album ‘Living In A Haze’ was released independently, which contained the singles “Colorado”, “Synchronize” and the album’s title track. Of the release, they shared- “We stepped out of our comfort zone to make this album. It was freeing and felt like a new chapter for us. We gave ourselves the space and energy to really dive deep into writing and producing, tried out new things, worked with incredible collaborators like Charlotte Cardin and Fatoumata Diawara, and created, what we think, is a colorful and diverse album.” The band is currently on tour throughout Europe and plans to release more new material that showcases the band now as a four-piece and with an orchestral feature in the works.
Milky Chance spoke with B-Sides host Pete Mar at Bonnaroo 2024 about their growth as a band, how parenthood has given them a new perspective to songwriting, country music and more.
