VIDEO: INTERVIEW – Kristiane Says Latest EP ‘Stray Dog’ Speaks to Loneliness, Confusion and Isolation

Kristiane released her newest EP ‘stray dog’ on March 15th via FADER and the release shows continued growth and maturation for the emerging singer/songwriter. Many of the songs on the project speak to living a life as another person’s primary focus instead of as an individual charting their own path. “I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to just be an individual and who I am apart from everyone around me,” Kristiane shared, “Feeling lost in lot in a lot of ways, I think being in your 20s or any age but especially in your 20s, there’s an inherent loneliness, an inherent, ‘who am I’ and I’m still trying to figure that out and I think ‘stray dog’ really speaks to those feelings of confusion and isolation but also like joy.” ‘stray dog’ follows up 2022’s ‘State Lines’ as well as last year’s tours with Del Water Gap and Alix Page. The Los Angeles native broke through in 2021 with the viral song “Wish I Could Be Your Girl” and has been on an upward trajectory ever since.

Kristiane spoke with B-Sides host Pete Mar about how the myriad of feelings of loneliness, self-discovery and joy influenced her latest EP ‘Stray Dog’, performing live and more.
