Skrillex and Fred Again.. made their pop-up show in San Francisco, CA one for the ages Saturday night. The electronic producers performed for three and a half hours straight, mixing in each others music that had fans dancing, fist-pumping, screaming in delight and just all-around having the night of their lives. Anderson .Paak made a surprise appearance to perform “places to be”, a song that Fred Again.. dropped earlier this week. The crowd absolutely went wild when he was on-stage and elevated the enthusiasm ten times more than it already was. Both producers took time to express their gratitude to the San Francisco mayor and government for allowing the event to take place and helping put it together on short notice(Skrillex announced the show on X this past Monday). It was an overwhelming success as there didn’t seem to be any incidents of note and the crowds were respectful of one another, despite some maneuvering through the crowd to get a better view and making certain pockets of people tighter. Early in the show, fans climbed the trees that were around the event space, to get a better view. For a while, they found the hack, but officials had Skrillex announce on microphone that although he “respected the game, and shoutout to the tree people” but that they had to get down. Overall, it was a joyous and amazing night that was truly a one-of-a-kind to see two electronic producers having fun and mixing in new and old tunes.
