The lore of Royel Otis continues to grow as the band is currently on their North American tour. Performing to a sold-out crowd at the Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco, CA Saturday night, the Australian band had the crowd hyped and dancing throughout most of their set. Showcasing songs from their debut album, ‘Pratts & Pain’, the Australian band was electrifying as many came from nearby cities like Sacramento and Santa Cruz to even as far as San Diego and Denver just to see them. Songs like “Velvet”, “I Wanna Dance With You” and “Motels” sounded full and were enhanced when performed live against the strobe lights and red and blue hues that illuminated the stage. The crowd went wild as their cover of “Murder on the Dancefloor” by Sophie Ellis-Bextor started and they equally were entranced by the duo comprised of Royel Maddell and Otis Pavlovic as they performed “Linger” by The Cranberries. Their set was absolutely entertaining and captivating, showing their potential growth and that their fast rise is more than well-deserved.
