VIDEO: INTERVIEW – Sam Barber at Stagecoach 2024

Sam Barber made his Stagecoach debut this year to much anticipation and exceeded many expectations. His growing fanbase turned out in droves for his performance as the singer/songwriter from Missouri played songs from his debut EP, ‘Million Eyes’, which features the standout “Straight and Narrow,” that’s garnered over 235M global streams to date. His latest single, “Streetlight” elicited many to sing along and holding up cellphones out to record. It was quite a milestone for Barber, who started making his own music as a teenager after picking up his great grandfather’s Gibson guitar. Releasing original music in 2021, it was “Straight and Narrow” that he wrote when he was 16 years-old that would go viral and lead him to pursue a career in music. Last year, he scored an opening slot for Ed Sheeran, as well as Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band at London, England’s Hyde Park. Barber has been touring North America as of late, on the epic ‘Till I Return Tour’, with most dates having completely sold out.

Sam Barber spoke with B-Sides host Pete Mar about performing at Stagecoach 2024, how his mother encouraged him to audition for American Idol, new music and more.
