Singer/songwriter Abby Anderson has had a busy 2024, having released new music and touring with Tim McGraw as well as performing at Stagecoach 2024. The Texas native is also a featured guest on Diplo’s new mixtape, Diplo Presents Thomas Wesley: The Mixtape, that was released April 26, as well as having dropped two songs this year with “If You Killed Somebody” and “Bright Side of Blue”. The former, her latest individual release, is described as a dedicated anthem about loyalty in even the most extreme of circumstances. “This is a love song inspired by my husband. He is the stud of all studs,” she explained. “Me and my friends were talking about ‘What would be your line? How much can you REALLY LOVE someone?’ and I came up with this song.” Anderson has seen her profile elevated after her 2023 release “Heart On Fire In Mexico” went viral. She continues touring throughout the rest of the year with headline dates and additional festival appearances including CMA Fest, Summerfest, Country Fan Fest, and more.
Abby Anderson spoke with B-Sides host Pete Mar about performing at Stagecoach 2024, diversity in country music, new music and more.
