New York City-based trio Wet have been on the road the last couple of months in support of their latest album, ‘Letter Blue’ and its remix EP that dropped in April. Making a stop at Basement East in Nashville, TN June 15th, the band put on a solid performance to an enthusiastic crowd. Dressed in a white pantsuit, lead singer Kelly Zutrau started the set emerging on-stage amidst the darkness singing “Larabar” and immediately followed it up with “Clementine” and “Bound”, all three from the band’s latest LP. Fans were seen mouthing the lyrics to each but were definitely getting into the set as the band played “11 Hours” and “There’s a Reason” from their second studio album, ‘Still Run’. The ambiance of the set was befitting of the band’s music with various color changes of their backlighting and sans spotlight on Zutrau. Singing “Don’t Wanna Be Your Girl”, Zutrau had the crowd swaying and singing along. Improvising with a wardrobe malfunction, Zutrau had to get one of the band’s t-shirts they were selling at merch for the encore, providing a little levity to the set. Capping off the show with “You’re The Best”, it was a great to see Wet back on stage in fine form and not missing a beat.
