21-year-old Harlem native Porsh Bet$ just released his debut EP I Used To Think Forever, which puts his striking talent on full display. Whether it’s consoling a summer fling on “Whatever”, wanting what you simply cannot have on “Peanut Butter”, or an escapist fantasy on “Run With Me”, Porsh Bet$ always maintains a connection with his listeners, staying true to the raw emotions he feels in his songwriting. Porsh is able to connect with his listeners lyrically, but shines even brighter sonically. Sun-drenched chord progressions, R&B rhythms, and even the occasional venture into latin instrumentals gives us a fun and rich sonic palate from the young musician. His instant appeal has landed him in the studio with acclaimed producer KoOoLkOjAk (Doja Cat, Nicki Minaj, etc.), who worked on the new EP to blend grunge guitars with Porsh’s smooth pop melodies.
I Used To Think Forever is a brilliant introduction to Porsh Bet$, and we’re excited to have him on the show today to talk about the making of the EP and more.
