Formed in 2015, San Diego alt-pop trio Almost Monday (guitarist Cole Clisby, singer Dawson Daugherty, and bassist Luke Fabry) self-booked themselves to local shows and honed their live shows as their fan-base grew. Now, Almost Monday is signed with Hollywood Records and collaborated with Mark Needham, an engineer/mixer/producer known for his work with The Killers and Imagine Dragons. Their sound is very nu-disco with surf rock tones, which coincidentally is how Daughtry and Fabry met Clisby— by surfing! In speaking about their live shows, Almost Monday stated- “We want for our music in general: to give everybody that feeling of dancing alone in your bedroom, where you’re not self-conscious at all—you just feel completely free to be yourself”. The band will be hitting the road in May as openers for AJR and some festival dates that include Bottlerock Music Festival and Governors Ball.
