Max Schneider (MAX) is prepping for a new album, having released the single “Checklist” featuring electro-funk duo Chromeo late 2019. The track is the follow-up to “Love Me Less” featuring Quinn XCII. The new material comes after a hiatus that saw the established Youtube star and actor get married and focus on his personal life while working out the new songs. Born in Hell’s Kitchen, New York City, the singer, model and actor had success with his 2016 full-length album, ‘Hell’s Kitchen Angel’ that featured “Lights Down Low.” The song generated half a billion streams globally and earned double-platinum certifications in the US. “What people loved about “Lights Down Low” was the story, I’d never been more honest. It just clicked.” MAX stated, “I’m taking even more risks on my next album. I want to be as authentic as possible whether it is about losing people in my life or just who I am as a person. The new music continues to dive deeper into spreading a message of being true to who you are, wearing what you want to wear, loving who you want to love, and being accepting.”
B-Sides spoke with MAX before his sold-out show in San Francisco at Rickshaw stop where he discusses opening for Fall Out Boy, collaborating with artists like Quinn XCII & Kim Petras on his single “Love Me Less”, marriage, and more. Check out the interview:
