Better Oblivion Community Center knocked it out of the park at their sold-out show at San Francisco’s August Hall on March 15, 2019. With a setlist of songs from their debut, self-titled album, the tightly packed crowd went from raucous to softly singing along to songs such as “Sleepwalking'”, “Didn’t Know What I Was In For”, “My City”, and “Dylan Thomas”. Composed of Conor Oberst and Phoebe Bridgers, the duo expertly performed well together, showcasing the obvious on-stage chemistry between the two. The two met in 2016 after Bridgers performed at a show Oberst hosted at Los Angeles’ Bootleg Theater and have been brewing the collaboration for some time. The band’s energy fed off the enthusiastic crowd, who were eager to see and hear the powerful collaboration.
