“B-Sides is where it’s at” says Nashville artist Morgxn (Morgan Carr) as he sits down with us to discuss his debut album Vital, his collaboration with Nick Petricca of Walk The Moon for his hit single “Home”, and his involvement with Covenant House which inspired “Home”. The pair sang “home” for the first time live at morgxn’s Lollapalooza debut performance earlier this summer and decided to go into the studio to turn it into an official collaboration. The electronic R&B soulful singer morgxn hails from Nashville, the soulful artist grew up surrounded by music, guided by his grandfather, a former vaudeville singer and has worked with the likes of Tiesto, The Naked and Famous, and others as well has having toured with Skylar Grey, Miike Snow and X Ambassadors. Riding high on the mainstream exposure of the single, “Home”, morgxn described the strong connection to the track as, “closer to my heart because it’s about me finding my place in this journey as an artist right now and belonging.”
Prior to the release of his latest EP, Blue (S T R I P P E D), morgxn spoke with B-Sides On-Air about his journey into music, working with Covenant House and more. Check out our interview:
