Singer/songwriter, Donna Missal first electrified the blogosphere with her debut single “Keep Lying” that has now made it to mainstream radio airplay. The track was initially released online in 2015 and had a strong positive reaction, which would eventually lead her to work with Macklemore on the single “Over It,” featured on his recently released album, Gemini. Missal grew up in a household with access to a home studio, as her father had previously worked in the industry before settling down with the family. Recording songs was nothing new for Missal, as she and her siblings would frequently record for their grandparents, especially songs for the holidays. The debut album by Donna Missal is entitled, This Time, and will be released on September 7, 2018 on Harvest Records. In speaking about the album, Missal stated- “This isn’t a record about love and loss and relationships. It’s about taking chances for yourself, figuring out who you are and really standing behind that. I made a point of putting myself out there as a real person navigating this life at this moment in time, because I want to do whatever I can as an artist to help people feel more confident in navigating their own lives. I’d love for the listener to receive the message that you can take your time to learn and love yourself. That’s been the most important discovery that I want to share with this album.”
