Finnish pop singer/songwriter Alma has experienced great international success, having garnered over 170 million combined Spotify plays, and topped iTunes charts around the world. She landed on the prestigious BBC Music Sound of 2018, received the award for “Best Finnish Act” at the MTV EMA awards, and earned “Best Newcomer” and “Best Export” at Finland’s answer to the GRAMMYs the EMMAs. Her recent mixtape EP, Heavy Rules features Alma’s penchant for strong vocals amidst catchy melodies, along with guests MØ, Tove Styrke and Kiiara. Of the EP, Alma mentioned- “I feel so blessed and grateful that for the last two years I’ve been able to travel around the world playing music with and for my favorite people. It felt wrong to me to be writing/ touring so much and not sharing more music with everyone which I why I really wanted to put together this collection of songs, my first mixtape. The Heavy Rules mixtape is super important to me, it’s the most real I’ve ever been lyrically, melodically and more.
