In their 25th year as a band, Spoon has gotten better over time, perhaps credit it to having been through nearly every scenario both good and bad when it comes to performing live. The Austin-based band released their ninth studio album, Hot Thoughts in March 2017, and now that fans are familiar with the material, it made for an engaging and fun live show for the band. From start to finish, frontman Britt Daniels led the audience down a path through the band’s catalog of material right from the start with the newer “Do I Have To Talk You Into It” to the more familiar standbys in “Don’t You Evah”, “I Turn My Camera On” and “The Underdog”. With each song, Spoon showed no signs of slowing down as the group demonstrated the veteran experience of musicians with the enthusiasm and energy of a younger band.
