2016 has been a banner year for Bishop Briggs, breaking through with the success of her first two lead singles, “River” and “Wild Horses”. Catching the singing bug at a young age while attending karaoke bars as a youth in Japan, Bishop Briggs was born to Scottish parents, raised in Japan and Hong Kong and attended college in Hollywood while honing her craft as a singer and songwriter. It would be a steady process of establishing her on-stage presence in the meantime, as she performed non-stop at small bars in town until getting discovered by a former A&R manager, George Robertson. After touring non-stop for most of 2016 that’s included numerous festival appearances, Bishop Briggs has already started off her career on a strong note and has yet to release a full album to fully showcase her immense talent.
