Warped Tour is a summer long party, full of renowned, up and coming, and insane bands. It is not only an event that many across the country anticipate, but it is the one day a year that music is celebrated with a loving and accepting community, all thanks to the founder, Kevin Lyman. The 2016 Warped Tour was a special edition to the tradition, considering its main sponsor, Vans, celebrated its 20th Anniversary and the festival’s lineup was a little different than previous years. 2016 Warped featured several throwback punk bands, like Sum 41, New Found Glory, which both made a come back with hit songs, that were performed even better live.
Although the heat can be strenuous and intense at times, it is all worth it to see your favorite bands for a whole day. No band lacked getting the crowd amped this year. From Issues, to The Maine, and Sum 41, every member put in their all to give the Mansfield, MA show an unforgettable time. Mansfield, MA, was lucky enough to be the host of the hometown show for Vanna and Four Year Strong. A hometown show is a special day for a band, Davey Muise from Vanna stated “I could barely sleep last night”. The excitement is overwhelming when band members grow up in Warped Tour crowds, to then playing in front of them.
Massachusetts Warped Tour 2016 was overall a day to remember. Whether the band be on a small stage or the main stage, the energy and excitement never diminishes. Capturing bands live like Sleeping With Sirens, State Champs, and The Maine, and many others, shows how much energy and happiness they put in their performances.
