Since releasing the EP The Afternoon in 2014, James Supercave has garnered much attention over the last few years. The origins of the band started ten years ago when Joaquin Pastor and Pat Logothetti first met at UCLA when both were studying acting while third member, Andy Villalobos joined the band after meeting Pastor at a party. As the band honed their sound, they toured with Chet Faker, Warpaint, Future Islands, YACHT, and others. With much anticipation, the band released their debut album, Better Strange via Fairfax Recordings in February 2016.
B-Sides caught up with Pastor and Villalobos of James Supercave during their tour with Wild Belle to talk about their debut album, if expectations from fans and critics affected the recording process and more.
