Canadian electro-pop artist Lights has been creating music since she was 14. Amassing a dedicated ‘Lights Army’ over the years, Lights also has well-known self-professed fans in Miley Cyrus, John Mayer, K’Naan and more, as well as collaborating with major acts like Kaskade and Deadmau5. Lights won the 2015 Juno award for ‘Best Pop Album Of The Year’ for her third and latest album, Little Machines. In a year highlighted with her first appearance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and critical acclaim for the album and the tracks, “Up We Go”, “Portal” and others, Lights is still on the upswing of her career.
B-Sides On-Air met up with Lights during the San Francisco stop of her North American tour. The singer performed an acoustic version of “Up We Go” and spoke about the winning the Juno award earlier this year, plans for new material and played a fun Christmas game.
