Houndmouth formed in 2011 and have been building a loyal and strong fanbase since the release of their debut, From the Hills Below the City. The band followed that up in 2015 with the album, Little Neon Limelight, which features the track, “Sedona”- a song that’s increased the band’s profile even further due to its use in television programs and commercials. Not bad for a band that started out as a bunch of friends making music for the fun of it in the small town of New Albany, Indiana. The band was signed to Rough Trade Records after the band’s performance at SXSW in 2012, proving the annual music gathering’s penchant for discovering new talent. The band has played several major festivals (ACL, Americana Music Festival, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Newport Folk Festival), opened for The Alabama Shakes, Jason Isbell, Court Yard Hounds and others.
The band recently spoke with B-Sides On-Air during their San Francisco tour stop to talk about the success of “Sedona”, their unique encounter while previously in the City by the Bay and more!
