San Francisco based band, Panic Is Perfect, has been on the upswing since the release of the track, “Go Go Go” and its use in a phone commercial in Portugal. What started out as a trip to India to volunteer for Hindu spiritual leader Amma, Jeremy Belzer met up with friend, Mike Hoffman to travel and ultimately started writing and performing songs throughout their journeys. Both had been playing music throughout their lives and brought their different influences together to form the band in the San Francisco Bay Area, adding Ty Parker on drums, Joey Hassid on synths and David Monzon on guitar.
Panic Is Perfect is playing a handful of shows over the summer, including one to open for Metric, but will kick off a fall tour to coincide with their debut album release in October. The band spoke with B-Sides On-Air host, Pete Mar, during their local San Francisco show at Bottom of The Hill to talk about their formation, go-to love songs and more.
