Released last week, Anjunadeep’s Lane 8 shared his debut artist album ‘Rise’. Its vibey, chill and loungy enough to enjoy while on the couch at home or at a pool party in the middle of the desert. The 10 track album has a light progressive touch that gives an edge to the usual Anjuna deep house style.
Bringing back “real music” that touches the soul and has depth, 26-year-old Daniel Goldstein (Lane 8) created a solid album with songs that compliment each other. The distinct melodic and trancy yet chill sound that comes from this album are uplifting and satisfying. True to the trancy style of Anjuna, this album incorporates fast paced progressive beats with harmonious vocals that create an smooth and light character.
With a goal to share the “same feeling I’ve had over the last twelve months as I worked on these songs and tested them at shows”, ‘Rise’ was produced as a way to create a bigger musical experience. In a post announcing the release, Goldstein stated that “music can connect us to become part of something bigger than ourselves and find a place where we belong.” True to the statement, this album takes you on a journey through happy, sad and everything in between.
The singles featured are ‘Loving you’, ‘Ghost’,’Diamonds’ and ‘Hot as you want’ with vocal appearances from Patrick Baker, Solom, Matthew Dear, and others. The leading single ‘Ghost’ premiered its music video by DEMS in early May and since then has lead to numerous remixes of the original track.
The American raised artist will be hitting the Country on his 17 date American Tour. He will then be taking his talent over to the Australian coasts on a following tour. With great support over the past couple of months, you can expect to see more of Lane 8 as he caters to indie, deep house and mainstream audiences alike.
