The upcoming tour featuring Marilyn Manson and Smashing Pumpkins is sure to spark up the nostalgia amongst the crowds whose music tastes were formed by the two influential acts during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Both performers are still very active with Manson having released his latest album, The Pale Emperor and Smashing Pumpkins have just released Monuments To An Elegy. The 23-date tour kicks off in the San Francisco Bay Area at the Concord Pavilion in Concord, CA July 7, 2015 and will mark the return of original Smashing Pumpkins drummer, Jimmy Chamberlin, who left in 2009 to focus on his side projects and LiveOne, a company that works with live online video content. Chamberlin confirmed to USA Today that Corgan had asked him to come back for the tour stating, “He asked if there was any way I’d consider coming back for the tour. It’s a great opportunity not only to celebrate the music, but to celebrate the friendship and the legacy.”
Chamberlin will not be staying with the band after the tour, but Corgan should be more than understanding, as he also has his other interests aside from the Pumpkins ranging from producing storylines for TNA to his Chicago tea shop, Madame Zuzu.
