This past weekend, our good friend, Dan Croll, took time to talk about his debut album, “Sweet Disarray”, the San Francisco Giants and his penchant for 90s pop. New York City band, Skaters, performed their addictive song, “Deadbolt” and spoke about their origins, skate tricks and more. In 2013, Dan Croll released his debut EP, “From Nowhere”, which contained his breakthrough track of the same name. Croll toured throughout the entire year that included stops at SXSW and numerous festivals, making an impression on new fans eager to hear more. During our interview, Dan spoke with B-Sides host, Pete Mar, about the last year of working on his debut album, “Sweet Disarray”, which was released in March. The Liverpudlian also talked at length about his penchant for 90s boy-bands as a child of the 90s and what the track “Thinkin Aboutchu” has to do with Britney Spears.

Skaters recently released their debut album “Manhattan”, which ties various themes of living in the New York City borough. “To Be Young In NYC”, “I Wanna Dance”, “Miss Teen Massachusetts” and “Deadbolt” are some of the standouts on the album. The band spoke about their unique origins, whether or not they can actually do skate tricks and more.
