Originally known as the front man for his band Never Shout Never, Christofer Drew has now decided to release his own solo album this Spring. In an interview with Alternative Press, the singer expressed that he had been wanting to do a solo album for a while, he wants to take a step from the full-band experience and see what he can accomplish on his own. The new album will have a different sound as compared to Never Shout Never’s work. Instead of just an acoustic pop vibe, the solo album will feature a reggae sound; a genre that the singer/songwriter has been listening to since the age of 16. Some of the tracks on the album will continue with the usual folksy pop style such as in songs, “Delirious” – a love song, and “Imagination” – a song about a different type of world. Drew is currently working on the album having already completed 20 demos for the record in Malibu. It has not been confirmed as to what the title or release date will be for the 20 track album, just that fans can expect it to drop in Spring 2014.
