Awards shows are a goldmine for celebrity fashion and trends that make a buzz. This year’s Grammys had it all: lots of sparkles, dangerous necklines and classic men’s suits. Of course, we can’t ignore Pharrell’s hat, the robots of Daft Punk or Madonna’s grill. Let’s take a look at some of our favorite looks by the women at the 56th Grammy Awards!
Sparkles took the stage this year. Ciara showed off her baby bump in a draping bronze-dripped gown and in similar hues, Amber Rose in a form-fitting champagne piece and Chrissy Teigen in a liquid gold number. Rita Ora chose a Chartreuse long-sleeved mini and Taylor Swift played it a bit safer this year in a short-sleeved Gucci metallic lamè gown.
Sexy details also made a statement at this year’s Grammys without being too flashy. Alicia Keys and Miranda Lambert took the plunge with deep necklines in powerful hues.
Anna Kendricks chose an alternative type of neckline with edgy cutouts and Kelly Osborne drew the attention to her glam shoulder pads. Her lavender hair is always the best accessory.
Overlay lace details from Giuliana Rancic and Beyonce’ created the perfect mixture of romantic, mysterious and sexy textures. Giuliana chose a warm tone to suit her skin tone and Beyonce’ made the look her own in the second skin, skin tone gown. Her performance with Jay-Z wasn’t too bad either.
Two tones that also caught my eye tonight were a navy blue worn by Anna Faris and a strong red by Pink–the resident badass singer chose a dress with satin to trace her athletic figure. They both chose figure flattering gowns that were simple enough to make a statement.
The gowns were great, but the men killed it in the suit department as well. I was a big fan of the blue tuxedos that John Legend and Kendrick Lamar both wore and Kaskade’s deep purple blazer with black lapels. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis of course had bold teal and houndstooth suits to accompany their big night of wins.
Was there anyone else we missed this year? What was your favorite look?
