A die-hard shopper once told me that if you’re not buying your winter coat in July and your summer sandals in August then you’re probably wasting money on your wardrobe. Fashionistas everywhere might agree that the sale season a great time to squirrel away things for next year at a lower price, and with Labor Day coming up, it’s time to start keeping an eye out. You can start here with some summer shoe sale picks that I love.
Hit up Asos right now for these adorable printed wedges. They are neutral in color and so cute even with tights in the winter for a dinner with friends. Also found on the site are a pair of embroidered slip on sandals that would look great with a maxi dress next summer. It seems weird to plan that far ahead, but remember, it’ll be like Christmas in June!
You can always count on Urban Outfitters to have a good sale around this time of the year. Even I scooped up a pair of sandals for a ridiculously good price the other day. There are heels, flats and sandals to choose from, so really, you can’t go wrong. I think that these low black pumps are adorable, and you can get away with wearing them night or day.
I’ve always loved simple tennis shoes. It may be a symptom of my youth in the 90s, but I think sneakers and shorts are actually super classic. The tried and true Superga is on sale, and they will last you way longer than a flimsy pair of sandals, and get you farther up these hill than a killer pair of heels. You can find them scattered across the web at different sellers, or go straight to the site to shop the sale they’re having right now. Another great thing about these… they’re unisex!
If you’re a guy looking for a good, durable shoe, Timberland is having a pretty amazing sale right now, and they have some great looks that can transition to fall, no problem. I love that this blue color won’t look you’re trying too hard, but isn’t your standard black shoe. Make sure that you get some suede cleaner with these puppies, though, or else they’ll start to look worn in quickly. Urban Outfitters has some great choices for you, too, like these ones in a great, casual light gray.
If you’re looking to scratch a more designer itch, you can head to Bloomingdale’s, ShopBop, or PiperlimeĀ for some pretty spectacular name brand sales that are happening right now. I found these amazing Rebecca Minkoff sandals on ShopBop, along with many other tempting pairs, and I think I might have to scoop up a pair… they’re under $100!!!
Happy Shopping!
