Pearl Jam and Nine Inch Nails will headline the 15th anniversary of the Voodoo Music + Arts Experience, November 1, 2 and 3. Joining the 90s icons will be, Calvin Harris, Bassnectar, Paramore, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Afrojack, Boys Noize, The Gaslight Anthem, Big Gigantic, How To Destroy Angels, Cults, Alkaline Trio, Desaparecidos and Robert DeLong. Voodoo Music & Arts Experience will feature six stages, each of which is enhanced by the use of interactive art.
For Pearl Jam, this will be the band’s debut at the festival and their first show in the city since 2010. This performance will mark Nine Inch Nails’ fourth appearance and part of the re-launch of Nine Inch Nails since going on hiatus in 2009. “Recently I haven’t spent nearly enough time in my favorite city in the world and I’m happy to announce I’m bringing Nine Inch Nails to New Orleans for Voodoo,” says Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails.
“New Orleans is one of the most musically and culturally rich cities in the world,” says Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready. “We’ve played some of our most memorable shows there and can’t wait to return this November. I am personally looking forward to seeing my friends Steve and Michel Gleason. I’m also stoked to see my friend Steve Rehage, eat some gumbo and maybe go get a tattoo at Electric Ladyland or shop for records at Peaches!”
The 15th anniversary Voodoo celebration will also mark the debut of City Park’s Festival Grounds, a new permanent home for VOODOO. Home to the Voodoo since its 1999 debut–with the exception of 2005 Voodoo which was displaced by the city’s hurricane damage–New Orleans’ 1,300 acre City Park is the region’s principal recreation site that attracts over seven million visitors each year.
