Festival season is reaching full swing and we here at B-Sides got you covered. Now that Coachella has come and gone, next up is the rundown on the lineup and our recommendations for Bottlerock Festival in Napa Valley, May 8th-12th. The inaugural festival boasts one of the most amazing lineups, so far this festival season, that also features the best in food, beer and of course, wine, that the Napa Valley is known for. Bolstered by the token well-known headliners like Kings of Leon, Train, Jane’s Addiction and the Black Keys, there are also a bevy of up-and-comers and festival veterans you need to check out!
First off on our list is Iron & Wine. We can’t get enough of Samuel Beam’s eclectic and soulful vibe on the new Iron & Wine album Ghost On Ghost, so don’t miss out on the chance to hear the new tunes as well as some old favorite during his performance at the festival. Iron & Wine is one you won’t want to miss.
Next on the list are 2 acts you’ll want to hear if you want to lose your inner “hippie”. Check out GroupLove and Allen Stone as both these acts are for fans of Edward Sharpe and the Magentic Zeroes and Family of the Year (also playing at the festival) and will definitely provide the perfect soundtrack to the start of your summer.
Need a little bluegrass/country/folk to take you back to your roots? Check out The Avett Brothers, The Secret Sisters and Kasey Musgraves. All 3 acts will be performing throughout the weekend, giving you the chance to get you “country” on. We here at B-Sides have been obsessed with The Avett Brothers so definitely go give them a listen.
Last but not least are 2 rock acts that we think will perfectly round out your “must-see” list. The Allah-Las and the Dirty Projectors will give you the chance to dance the day away to some eclectic indie-rock.
The full lineup for Bottlerock Festival can be found on the Festival website. You can also purchase tickets and day-passes there as well. Also check out the line-up of Comedians that the festival has lined up, including acts like Demetri Martin and Kristen Schaal (Bob’s Burgers, 30 Rock).
