Known to many as the character, “Hodor” from the popular television series, Game of Thrones, Kristian Nairn is taking advantage of his elevated profile to expose his other talent as an electronic music producer and DJ with the second go-around of his Rave of Thrones tour. Nairn has been in the music scene for over twenty years, having been in bands such as AJ Suzuki and Dublin’s very own Daddy’s Little Princess. He’s shared the stage with a wide range of acts like Scissor Sisters, Mylo, Calvin Harris and Alphabeat. Performing as a DJ, he held down a residency for eleven years in Kremlin, one of Ireland’s most popular and enduring venues. His remixes have been played in sets by some of house music’s true legends, including the Freemasons and Grant Nelson. As a performance artist, Nairn uses his musicality to fuse together immense performances, often mixing and even playing the music himself.
Nairn took a moment to speak with B-Sides On-Air host, Pete Mar, during his Rave of Thrones tour to give his thoughts on the future of Game of Thrones, his musical past and more.
