VIDEO INTERVIEW: SWMRS Perform “Figuring It Out”, Talk Debut Album ‘Drive North’

swmrs-1aSWMRS is a new band to many but its members have been playing together for years, starting when Cole Becker and childhood friend, Joey Armstrong (drums) formed Emily’s Army at 8 years old. Cole’s brother Max joined the band to sing and play bass since the two didn’t know how to play their instruments at the time. Before graduating high school, they’d already released two full-length albums and a handful of EP’s. They toured the world, playing Warped Tour and shared stages with Pennywise, Rise Against, and Soundgarden. The band’s debut as SWMRS, Drive North, was produced by Zac Carper of FIDLAR and the lead single, “Figuring It Out” is getting significant exposure as the band is in the midst of an international tour and hits North America this summer.

SWMRS performed “Figuring It Out” for B-Sides On-Air at the Jingletown Studios in Oakland and Max and Cole spoke about the band’s debut. Check it out:
