DJ and producer Brillz started out as a drummer and guitarist in rock bands years ago. In fact his most recent band built a strong fanbase and gave them the opportunity to open for bigger acts like Linkin Park and Deftones. However, during this time, Brillz was also getting into the rave scene in New York and once he started producing his own electronic music, he never looked back.
Mad Decent signed him to the reputable label a few years ago and Brillz took trap music to new heights, playing sold out shows and expanded his TWONK brand to clothing and accessories. Brillz was recently played a sold-out show in San Francisco and he spoke with B-Sides On-Air about his past life as a drummer and guitarist his latest EP, Geekin which features collaborations with a hip-hop artists Que, Gangsta Boo and others.
