The music community out of Western, Massachusetts is rich in its history going back to the influential Thurston Moore and Dinosaur Jr. The latest product from the region is the trio, Potty Mouth comprised of Abby Weems (guitar, lead vocals), Ally Einbinder (bass) and Victoria Mandanas (drums). The band released their debut 12″ vinyl EP, titled Sun Damage, in July 2012, which garnered much attention, followed up by the critically acclaimed full-length, Hell Bent in 2013. With much anticipation for a follow-up, the band recently released a five-song EP under their own imprint, Planet Whatever Records.
B-Sides On-Air met up with Potty Mouth during the Oakland, CA stop of their fall tour, where the band spoke about the influence Veruca Salt has on their music, plans for the new album and more.
