In between albums, the trio parted ways with original member, Marty Sulkow as remaining members lead singer/songwriter Kelly Zutrau and multi-instrumentalist Joe Valle decided to move forward as a duo. Taking time away during the songwriting and recording process, both Zutrau and Valle would work on other projects that included work with Clams Casino with guest vocals by Zutrau.
