INTERVIEW: Meet the Duo Behind Bob Moses

Jimmy Vallance and Tom Howie were classmates at their Vancouver high school, but it wasn’t until pursuing separate styles of music that the duo came together to form Bob Moses, the best of a DJ and a rock band. Their Days Gone By debut was released last September and the duo have steadily become a must-see at festivals. INTERVIEW: Marina Kaye Makes Her American Debut

Marina Kaye is not your average 18-year-old. The French singer began writing in English at a young age in order to reach a wider audience and was discovered at 16 with her song “Homeless.” Her debut album, Fearless, then went double platinum after its release in Europe. Kaye’s talent has not gone unnoticed by other superstars, working with Sia and violinist Lindsey Stirling on her EP Homeless. Friday at SXSW proved itself to be crazy. As more and more people showed up for the weekend the crowds grew even more. Lines spanned all around buildings and the hopes of getting into some shows proved almost impossible. SXSW 2014 is still in full swing and music has completely taken over. Day one of Fun Fun Fun Fest proved to be a great beginning to what we hope will continue to be a great weekend. The weather was nice and cool, staying in the 60’s all day and dipping down into the 50’s at night, making for perfect festival weather, and the talent did not disappoint either. 6616

First Batch of Artists Confirmed at SXSW 2014

SXSW Festival is almost 6 months away but already people are getting pumped up for this week-long music, film, and interactive festival in Austin Texas, beginning March 7th. This “little” festival which began in 1987, bringing in around 700 registrants, has since grown to over 32,000 participants in recent years. Along with the film, media, and business sides of SXSW, this festival features acts ranging from country, rap, rock, and reggae, all rocking the stages of various local bars, venues and streets of Austin. 6140
