Raleigh Ritchie aka Jacob Anderson, performed to an overly eager crowd at The Independent in San Francisco on December 4, 2018. Recognized for his role as Grey Worm, leader of the Unsullied in the HBO hit series, Game of Thrones, Ritchie mentioned he was a bit under the weather upon arriving into town but was energized to perform during this short tour. With plenty of water to keep him hydrated, Ritchie performed tracks from his debut album, You’re A Man Now, Boy, which include “Stronger Than Ever” and “The Greatest”. Ritchie also performed the two newer songs that were recently released, “Time in a Tree” and the upbeat “Me, Myself and I”, the former about seeking solitude and peace and the latter speaking to the internal back and forth struggle to seek attention. Just as his character Game of Thrones, Ritchie commanded the audience with engaging banter, spurring audience participation and lots of dancing. There’s much to look forward to musically from Raleigh Ritchie, especially once he has more time once the popular series ends this upcoming season that starts in April 2019.
