Based out of Nashville Tennessee, The Wild Feathers consists of members Taylor Burns, Joel King, Ricky Young, Preston Wimberly and Ben Jarvis. Formed in 2010, these young guys are bringing back the true sound of rock and roll one song at a time.
Although they formed in 2010, it wasn’t until August of 2013 that this band released their first album, but it sure got people talking. The Wild Feathers self-titled debut album hit #1 on billboards heatseekers charts during the first week of its release in late August. With musical influences ranging from the 60’s, 70’s, and even some modern twists, these guys are the closest to an original rock and roll band that you will probably find today, while still managing to not sound like a cover band. All band members, with the exception of Joel, having been raised in Texas and listening to classic rock bands like Led Zeppelin and Tom Petty, have formed their own rock tastes and stylings.
Their first single “The Ceiling” is currently going around radio stations, gaining the band recognition all over the US. With guitar riffs, and a gritty sound this song catches your attention right away, and leaves you asking for more.
