The name José González is familiar to many as his work as a folk artist has been at the forefront since his rendition of “Heartbeats” originally performed by The Knife, catapulted his profile in 2006. However, he has been a part of the band, Junip, since 1998 with drummer Elias Araya and keyboardist Tobias Winterkorn. Even though the band has been around for quite some time, they will release only their fourth album on April 23rd, an eponymous release.

At the end of May, the Swedish trio will be heading out for a short tour as lead support for the album.
