A benefit concert, “EDM For Sandy Relief,” has been announced to take place next Monday, November 19, 2012 to benefit The American Red Cross and Hurricane Sandy victims. The event will take place at New York City’s legendary Gramercy Theatre with all proceeds going towards The American Red Cross and aid the victims from Hurricane Sandy.
EDM For Sandy Relief is being put on by Brooklyn, NY based EDM record label Brooklyn Fire, and New York, NY based entertainment marketing & PR firm UG Strategies, in collaboration with Live Nation and New York, NY based GBH Events. The event will also be hosting a Thanksgiving food & clothing drive, as well as a silent auction with support from the event’s corporate sponsors.
Tommie Sunshine, founder and CEO of Brooklyn Fire, stated, “Creating this was an easy decision as my family almost lost our summer home in Manasaquan, NJ. It was my Grandmother’s house & I spent every summer of my life visiting the Jersey Shore there. To see such devastation moved me to action. I wanted to go down there to help but that proved impossible, so I did what I could from here in Brooklyn & called Parag to join forces in creating what has become something very special. One of the best aspects of this is that Live Nation has let us make this event ALL AGES so with the kids involved, I feel like this is going to be one rowdy Monday night in NYC.”
Founder & CEO of UG Strategies, Parag Bhandari added, “I was raised in New Jersey and I live in Brooklyn, and seeing the devastation that Hurricane Sandy brought to the area is absolutely tragic. I’m honored to be working with Tommie and so many great artists and partners to collectively do our part and help those in need with a great night of music.”
EDM For Sandy Relief is an ALL AGES event. Tickets are $20, with waived ticketing fees, and are available online via Ticketmaster.
