Coming from a musical family, twenty year-old Canadian actress/singer/author and fashionista Lennon Stella has already achieved immense success in her career. Gaining attention from her role as Maddie Conrad in the hit TV series ‘Nashville’ from 2012-2018, Stella was regularly featured singing alongside her real-life sister, Maisy Stella, who also was on the show. Lennon’s success with her songwriting career began during her time on Nashville as one of the writers on nine different songs that were featured in numerous episodes of the series. Prior to landing the acting role, Lennon had already gained national attention when her and Maisy’s cover of Robyn’s “Call your Girlfriend” went viral. Fresh off her first year of touring, both as a headliner during early 2019 and as a support act with The Chainsmoker during late 2019, Lennon Stella is putting the final touches on her debut album that will be announced early this year.
B-Sides met with Lennon recently in San Francisco prior to her set with The Chainsmokers to talk about the experience of writing camp for writing songs for her album, the influence of her parents who are songwriters themselves and more. Check out the interview:
