Fun Fun Fun Fest is set for this weekend and the lineup couldn’t be better! Genres varying from rap, comedy, alternative, hardcore, and more, there is sure to be something to please everyone.

Now in its eigth year, Fun Fun Fun Fest is known as being one of the most relaxed and “fun” festivals across the country. With a unique mix of music, comedy, and art, FFF focuses on the underground and exciting.

And with so many great artists and shows it may be hard to choose who to see, so we’ve put together a list to help you. This list is in no particular order. And don’t forget, with any sort of festival to just show up where the music takes you. Discover new bands, see new bands you’ve never heard of. You might just find your new favorite!

1. MGMT

Never heard of them? You probably have actually, their song “Kids” has been featured in all sorts of movies and shows. And besides being ridiculously awesome, these guys’ music will be sure to pump you up and leave you breathless.

2. Twin Shadows

Twin Shadows is a true blast from the past. Although they are current, Twin Shadows sounds straight out from the 80’s. Who doesn’t love that?

3. M.I.A.

M.I.A. has the reputation as the “bad girl.” She even flaunts it in her song “bad girls”. She’s practically British bad girl royalty. The gist, bad girls put on great shows.

4. Rob Delaney

I had to throw in a comedian, and Rob Delaney fits the bill. Writer, Comedian, Genius.

5. Cut Copy

Hailing from Australia, Cut Copy is an electronic band that really knows how to get people to move. With synths and beats, their music is truly and experience you will never forget.

6. Slayer

Slayer is a classic in the American thrash metal culture, who really know how to put on a show. Lots of hair, smoke, and awesome guitar solos.

7. Daniel Johnston

Daniel Johnston is practically an icon in Austin. Have you seen the graffitied wall “Hi, how are you?” Yeah, he sings that album. And it’s good. Daniel Johnston is a great singer songwriter with similarities compared with the Beatles.

8. Title Fight

Although some call them “emo” music, Title Fight are a punk rock band with bite. They are gauranteed to pump you up.

9. Snoop Dogg

We all know who he is. C’mon, you can’t miss Snoop Dogg!

10. Bonobo

Simon Green, or Bonobo, creates a more mellowed out feeling through his music. For when you need a break from intense music, Bonobo is a great listen.
