Photo Review: Twenty One Pilots – Portland, OR

I may not love anything in the world the way that Twenty One Pilots fans love this band. They are dedicated and fervent, but also extremely polite which caught me off guard especially when you compare them to similar followings. The band came through Portland, OR on Tuesday, October 20, 2015, in support of their newest album, Blurryface (which dropped in May). Along for the ride were special guests, Echosmith. 12755

LCD Soundsystem Reunion Recap

Remember LCD Soundsystem’s farewell show and how magical it was? Remember how the Madison Square Garden-set send off sold out in minutes? And how, protesting scalpers, they booked four shows at Terminal 5 leading up to the final show (these all also sold out very quickly)? Remember how even if you could have gotten those tickets into the shopping cart, you were too broke to pay for them, so you bitterly watched the Youtube livestream of it in your dorm room? 12572

Underneath It All: How Relationships Shaped Music

Pretty tough to avoid the news of the announcement of the split between Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale. Stefani, the No Doubt frontwoman, and Rossdale, Bush lead singer/guitarist, are separating after nearly 13 years of marriage. The two met back in 1995 when No Doubt toured with Bush, they married in 2002. There’s no denying the influence their relationship had on each other’s music. For instance, No Doubt’s ‘Underneath It All’ and  ‘Simple Kind Of Life’ were written by Stefani about her relationship with Rossdale. As you could imagine, there are countless other examples of this; here is a list of
